Journeying Through Life
For me, traveling is about much more than breathtaking landscapes and relaxing escapes (though those are certainly highlights). What I cherish most is the human connection—the conversations with locals and the exchange of stories that bring each destination to life. I have a quirky little tradition: every time I arrive in a new city, I leave a handwritten note for someone local, often hotel staff. In my notes, I share my impressions of their city, my hopes for my visit, and sometimes even a bit of encouragement. It’s my way of leaving a small piece of myself behind while hoping to spark something meaningful, be it a response or a positive change to discover on my next visit.
My love for travel began at the age of three, when my parents made it a tradition to take me on at least two trips a year, each lasting no less than a week. This annual ritual continued all the way through my school years, shaping me into an avid explorer. By the time I graduated high school, I had already visited every province in China and explored over 90 cities. Since moving to the U.S. for university, my wanderlust hasn’t slowed down—I’ve journeyed across Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, California, Texas, Utah, and much of the Midwest, soaking in the unique charm of each state.
One day, when I’ve explored enough corners of the world, I plan to turn my adventures into a travelogue—a collection of memories, stories, and reflections that capture the essence of this incredible journey. For now, my travels are an ongoing story, filled with laughter, wonder, and the anticipation of the next destination. Because, for me, every trip isn’t just about where I go—it’s about the connections I make and the stories I collect along the way.
