I started playing soccer when I was just seven, and by the time I was 12, I earned a spot at Guangzhou Evergrande Football School. While life led me down a different path from professional soccer, my passion for the game has only grown stronger. As a center forward, I loved the thrill of leading the attack and being at the heart of the action—scoring goals, creating chances, and celebrating as a team. To me, soccer represents unity, perseverance, and the joy of shared victories and lessons learned from defeats.

Messi’s journey, in particular, inspires me deeply. Witnessing his rise from a promising young talent to the pinnacle of global soccer, enduring setbacks like multiple World Cup defeats before finally lifting the trophy in 2022, reminds me that resilience and dedication can overcome any obstacle. Soccer teaches us so much more than the game itself—it’s about the stories, the people, and the relentless pursuit of greatness. For me, the field is more than grass and goals; it’s a canvas where life’s most profound lessons unfold.

My Lifelong Love for Soccer

My love affair with soccer began during the 2010 FIFA World Cup, a magical time when vuvuzelas echoed around the globe and Lionel Messi, my all-time favorite player, captured my imagination. Since then, I’ve been a die-hard Argentina fan, celebrating their every triumph and heartbreak, and cheering for my favorite club, Manchester City, as they dominate the Premier League and UEFA Champions League. Watching tournaments like the World Cup and Euros has become a sacred ritual for me, as has following the drama of the English Premier League and the high-stakes clashes of the Champions League.
